NoMYST Mission · radio continuity

Assess. Prepare. Verify.

Mission supports field teams before installation and after commissioning. It qualifies the need, guides the solution and verifies results under real site conditions.

Mission is the NoMYST method for radio-continuity pre-diagnosis and verification, before works and after installation, for RRF in public-access buildings, EV charging points and lone workers.

01Pre-diagnosis

Measure before work begins to avoid blind choices and focus the intervention.

02Solution planning

Compare positions, sources and routes to build a response suited to the site.

03Post-diagnosis

Repeat the same uses and verify that the expected continuity has actually been achieved.

RRF · public-access buildings

RRF · public-access buildings

Pre-diagnose radio continuity, identify weak areas and prepare a solution before work begins.

Lone-worker protection

Lone-worker protection

Verify that technicians and lone workers can reach the network in areas where their safety depends on it.

EV charging connectivity

EV charging connectivity

Find the position or link solution that keeps charging stations and connected systems reliably online.

Field cases

A complementary function

Scout observes, compares and tracks radio sources. Pulse verifies actual communication quality. Mission organises these measurements around a continuity requirement: before work, while finding a solution and after installation.

Mission provides field findings and a pre-diagnosis. It is not a regulatory certification.

The app, screen by screen

Screenshots of the Mission v0.2 app on a smartphone, anonymised: operator replaced by a letter, no location markers. The three readings show the same measurement point judged by each mission: non-compliant for RRF, valid for lone-worker (DATI) and for EV chargers. The verdict depends on the use case, not just on the signal.

Mission home screen: choice between RRF, DATI and IRVE
Choose the missionThree missions, three cards: RRF following the IT 250 method, DATI for lone workers, IRVE for EV chargers. Each card shows its default thresholds; the current campaign resumes in one tap, and switching mission re-judges its points.
RRF reading in Mission: non-compliant point with values and thresholds
RRF reading · IT 250The verdict names what is missing: RSRP −97 dBm against a −95 threshold, RSSNR 11 dB against 15. Below it, the campaign summary per level and the longest non-compliant stretch, in metres.
DATI reading in Mission: valid point, alert and voice
DATI reading · 4G voice checkAt the same point, the lone worker is covered: alert OK, voice OK. Mission distinguishes three variants (SMS only, 4G voice, GSM voice) and flags points where a criterion could not be measured.
IRVE reading in Mission: valid point measured on LTE
EV charger reading · LTEFor an LTE charger, the verdict is measured by the phone, with no throughput criterion. For LTE-M or NB-IoT chargers, it is estimated from the LTE reading and labelled as such.

Who it is for, and when

  • Operator or owner of a public-access buildingKnow before the works where radio continuity is missing in corridors, basements and plant rooms, so the solution is sized correctly.
  • Indoor coverage installerMeasure before, compare antenna or source positions during, and verify after that the expected continuity is achieved.
  • EV-charging fleet managerCheck at the installation point that the charger or its controller will reach the network durably, and document the chosen spot.
  • Safety manager with lone workersVerify that an alert device or a phone can reach the network in the areas where safety depends on it.

What Mission is, and what it is not

Compared with…What Mission bringsWhat remains necessary
A regulatory certificateA documented, point-by-point finding with the thresholds used, the equipment and the conditions. It locates the fault and prepares the solution.A certificate requires a defined procedure and a recognised body or equipment: Mission prepares it, it does not replace it.
A theoretical coverage studyReal measurements in the building as it is, with its materials, doors and furniture.Simulation remains useful at design stage, before the building exists.
A walk-through “with the phone”Repeated passes, explicit thresholds and a point history, instead of a glance at the phone's signal bars.Nothing: a walk-through with the phone is not a measurement.

Frequently asked questions about Mission

Is the report an RRF certificate?

No. The report is a finding and a pre-diagnosis within the scope of its protocol. It states explicitly what requires a specific procedure or certificate.

Which thresholds are used?

Thresholds are set per campaign and written in the report (for example −104 dBm as the insufficient-quality limit in the published campaign). They follow the customer's or the network's specification.

How long does a campaign take?

A campaign builds up while walking: a few minutes for a simple route, a few hours for a whole building. The result is readable as soon as the walk ends.

Is a module needed?

To measure a given carrier's network without swapping SIM cards, yes: Scout's multi-carrier module. For the network of the installed SIM, the phone is enough.

What does the delivered report contain?

The measured points with their level, the route history, the extent of non-compliant areas, the thresholds, the equipment used, the conditions and the limits of the finding.
